MAA's Books without Borders
The UCLA Medical Alumni Association has started a project to improve medical education in Iraq. The Iraqi medical schools and doctors are in serious need of textbooks (especially covering anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology) but also could use journals, review books, and other helpful reference materials.

The books are being collected at the Health Sciences Store starting on Monday, May 7, and will continue throughout the summer. One of the Healthcare Reconstruction project teams of the U.S. Army has agreed to ship the medical books to Iraq. Also, if you donate, the Health Sciences Store has agreed to give you a 10%-off coupon. For more detailed information, please refer to the attached pdf file. If you have any additional questions, please send them to Valerie Walker, Director of the MAA, at vwalker@support.ucla.edu. Thank you for your help.
